And McCain and Dole were Senior Senators.

Thad Cochran is a "Senior Senator", too. At this point longevity in Congress, having "more experience in government" as some people brag about, is a damning indictment.

And do you know why Trump is saying this? Because you have to WORK with people, you don’t go in and start telling people what they are going to do and not going to do, like Cruz did when he went into the Senate....

That’s why Cruz is NOT liked, telling these people who have had more experience in government and life he was the ‘new man in town’...how disgusting was that!!!

NO Ted Cruz isn’t going to be POTUS for a whole lot of reasons, and the main one is because he is a 3 year JUNIOR Senator and we already know what happened to this country by doing that!!!
*******************************************************************
Yes, TRUMP THE MAGNIFICENT (BLESSED IS HIS NAME) will restore “go along to get along” government to Washington. I can see it now ... in 2017 Donald MAKES A DEAL with CHUCK SCHUMER...”Yes, you give me the wall and I’ll give you all those giant gates and staff them with members of La Raza to hand out green cards to all the boomerang “deportees” I deported. IT WILL BE YUUUUGE!

I have no argument with you one way or the other regarding Cruz.

This is about Trump, not Cruz who us not a major factor in this race.

Trump is right again.

Calling a liar a liar on the Senate floor is against decorum. There are a lot of other ways to deal with a liar. Merely calling him names is all the conservatives have done....if that!

Trump said it wasn’t a good idea to call the Majority Leader a liar on the Senate floor, even if it were true. Makes it hard to get him to work with you in the future.

Oh you have had a discussion with Trump? He has told you all about his plans? Who are you trying to influence now? It’s certainly not the people that read stuff on here, because you wouldn’t know Mars from the Sun....

“Trump is right. Sorry that most Americans just don’t get it. Once Trump is President he must reshape McConnell’s as he must to many of the lame Republicans. Trump cannot just fire the entire Republican bunch, but must rework them.

Trump for President. The President can take even the border line Republicans and convert them. It has to be that way. McConnell was put as Senate majority leader by the Republicans in the Senate not by the President. Cruz is an ars.”

This borders on delusion, I hate to say it, but I can’t find kinder words for it.

Trump will not have the ability to “reshape” or “rework” or “convert” any human being.
I’d be scared to death if he (or anyone) could.

He ain’t God.
McConnell will be McConnell. Cruz called him out and rightly so. We elected him to the Senate do just those kind of things.

Cruz would not be able to “reshape”, “rework” or “convert” McConnell, and did not try to do so.

You know, Mark Levin started this line of reasoning and has been beating up on Trump for the past week. Problem is, using this same template, one could argue that Cruz has now taken the side of Jeb Bush in his insinuation that Trump is “unhinged”.

I don't have a dog in this fight as I would love either Cruz or Trump to get the nomination. But, these Leftist style attacks (not singling you out) by supporters and the candidates against each other could lead to status quo, another establishment candidate.

It is in Trump’s nature.

Yes. It's much better to be decorous, and bipartisan, and work across the aisle with the communist minority leader to give Barack Hussein Soetoro Odinga Soebarkah 0bama everything he wants. Even when you promised your constituents that you would oppose the marxist mohammedan president.

McConnell is a liar. McConnell, Hatch, and apparently Trump can't handle the truth.

So what you are saying is lying is allowable as long as it is in politics? OIC, I did not know there were exceptions.

Wonder what the donnie would have said or done if Mac lied to him like he did to Cruz? Of course, he would have sat down and acted like a good little republican senator.

Mark Levin and Rush haven’t endorsed anyone and usually don’t make public endorsements of candidates.

But you can tell they are leaning towards Cruz and so am I.

I have to wonder how many of us stood and cheered when Rep. Joe Wilson shouted “You Lie” at Hussein during his speech with congress in 2009. It seems we’re becoming a little too inconsistent.

Isn't Trump's appeal supposedly based on the fact that he is going to tell these people who have had more experience in government he is the 'new man in town' and what they are going to do and not going to do?

Back when Trump was out there (rightfully) attacking the GOPe every day, Trump's supporters were right behind him. And when he did so in terms that were...impolite...his supporters loved that he's "not PC."

Now that Trump is cozying up to the GOPe a bit, his supporters have changed their tune as well. Now it's all about working with people, getting along, not saying rude things (how dare Cruz say McConnell lied, when McConnell lied?).

It's downright Orwellian.

My guess is you agree with Trump that McConnell should not have been called out for lying to the voters.

One minute, you Trump supporters boast about how he is going to rip apart the DC Establishment brick by brick and board by board The next, you are up in arms that Cruz gave McConnell a little ouchie.

If calling McConnell out on the Senate floor is too rough and nasty for Trump, don’t get your heart set on seeing many bricks or boards flying.

Stop right there.

That is EXACTLY why establishment GOPers take a beating here in FR.... "working" with the other side.

LMAO!!! WTH do you think TRUMP has been doing ever since he bellowed his way onto the scene?

What’s Trump lying about?

I’m pretty sure that it’s safe to safe McConnell isn’t going to lift a finger to help Cruz do anything.

Do you think the senate will approve Cruz’s SCOTUS selections?

In fact, I think both Trump and Cruz might well face a senate attempt to remove them from office at some point.
