Bristol Palin on Tuesday urged her mom, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, to endorse Donald Trump over Republican presidential rival Sen. Ted Cruz (Texas).
The younger Palin took to her blog to note that her mom "has consistently supported" Cruz and accuse the Texas senator of "arrogance" for thinking a Trump endorsement could hurt her.
"After hearing what Cruz is now saying about my mom, in a negative knee-jerk reaction, makes me hope my mom does endorse Trump," Bristol Palin wrote in her blog post
that her mom shared on her Facebook page and tweeted to her 1.2 million followers.
"Cruz's flip-flop, turning against my mom who's done nothing but support and help him when others sure didn't, shows he's a typical politician. How rude to that he's setting up a false narrative about her!" she added.
Bristol Palin was responding to remarks from Cruz spokesman Rick Tyler earlier in day Tuesday, when he suggested Palin's endorsement of Trump would "be a blow to Sarah Palin."
"I think it would be a blow to Sarah Palin, because Sarah Palin has been a champion of the conservative cause and if she was going to endorse Donald Trump, sadly she would be endorsing someone who's held progressive views all their life on the sanctity of life, on marriage, on partial-birth abortion, he supported [the] TARP bailout - it goes on and on and on," Tyler said on CNN's "New Day."
"I didnât go to Harvard Law School, but I know this: You can like two people in a race, but there will only one president," Bristol Palin shot back in her blog post.
"The audacity to suggest that because she chooses one over the other will somehow 'damage' her just shows arrogance," she added. "I hope you're right, and that she endorses Donald Trump today for President."
Speculation has been rising that Sarah Palin would be endorsing Trump during a campaign event in Iowa on Tuesday after Trump touted a "big announcement."
“She likes him because he has several children by several different women?”
I presume you made that comment because Cruz has the high ground on social conservatism over Trump. Really?
“Former Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) praised Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) for his view on gay marriage on Thursday’s broadcast of CNBC’s Squawk Box. Cruz appeared on the show prior to Frank and said though he believes marriage is between one man and one woman, that it is up to each state to decide what their marriage law should be.
“I support the Constitution letting each state decide each marriage law consistent with the values of their citizens,” Cruz said. “If the citizens of California decide they want to allow gay marriage, that’s a decision for them.”
Barney Frank said Cruz’s comments represent an “evolution” of how gay marriage is viewed in the U.S.
“Ted Cruz is one of the most conservative people in American politics. He just made a very important statement that you quoted, that you ran on the air, which he said if a state wants to have same-sex marriage, that’s okay,” Frank said. “So even Ted Cruz’s position, as I said he’s the leader of the right in America, he represents an evolution in favor of allowing same-sex marriage.”
“It’s even more vindication that the country is moving when someone on the right takes that position,” Frank said.”
It should be breaking news.
Drudge has it headlined.
Big news.
That has Cruz stepping on his own crank, based on a rumor.
tell us now, who has jumped the shark?
Why would breaking news be a joke?
Drudge has it headlined at his site right now.
Drudge knows a little more about breaking news than you.
Exactly. A strategic blunder by the Cruz campaign. They used to be a disciplined organization but their SuperPac donor pressure is getting to them.
Why are people being so nasty to Bristol?
Did any of you actually read her blog or do you just knee-jerk?

The real question is, why would anyone ever want to read her blog?
Damage control by Ted. He should fire his spokesperson for being such an idiot.
LOL!
Two Corinthians walked into a bar......
He, he, he!
Well, Justin Bieber is Canadian, so........
Idiot??? For the disappointment if Sarah endorses Trump? Those attacks? Really?
When was the last time you paid off somebody’s mortgage or their farm loan or gave a troubled vet just released from a Mexican prison a check so he could get his life back together?
When was the last time a candidate self funded their presidential campaign so they would not be beholden to special interests?
If Trump was not rich enough to have gold faucets in his plane he would not be able to do many of the good things he has done and never taken credit for them or bragged about them.
The Lord works in mysterious ways.
Another moral icon, voting with her conscience.
Bristol is not too bright. Cruz did not personally say anything and his campaign was not being arrogant.
While I think it’s a bit thin-skinned to consider what the Cruz spokesman said to be “criticism”, this thread reads like a bunch of comments I’d expect to see at PMSNBC or Salon. Jeez.
His spokesman should not have said anything at all. He should have kept his mouth shut.
Thats a good post.
The Bible says right in 2 Corinthians, “I will honor those who honor me with buildings with thine names blazed thereon.”
