They will work it out. Ted did not realize the backlash on his N.Y. would be so severe though. A miscalculation that an “outsider” politician would make. A lifelong hack would not have.
Ted is not a hack.
I predict things will be smoothed over before S.C. Maybe Trump can have Ted and his family over for a weekend pow-wow in Florida and work things out.
