If Rafael Eduardo Cruz is eligible for the presidency then so is the King of Jordan. Outside of 14 years of U.S. residency, their situations are identical: (1) American mother, (2) foreign-national father, (3) born on foreign soil.

There is that sticky residency thingy in your analogy, but if they want to meet that requirement, the way the wrestling fans in this country are voting now, the Prince might just pull it off.

Nope. The King of Jordan's mother relinquished her American citizenship when she married King Hussein. Thus, at the time of his birth his mother was NOT an American citizen.
