Obama’s mother did not meet the residency requirement of 14 continuous years by the age of 18.
His mother was unable to pass citizenship to him because she did not meet residency requirements as the law was written at the time. The ONLY way Obama could claim citizenship was by virtue of birth on US soil.
Hussein’s mother did not meet the staute’s requirement to have lived in the US for 5 years after age 16. Therefore she could not bestow citizenship on Hussein. Which is why he had to be naturalized - which is why he passport records were accessed and subsequently sealed.
That’s why “birthers” we’re universally mocked. And they continue to deserve it.
