Lower turnout was always said to help the Republicans in my experience.

I’ve seen Obama win twice in the last two elections with extremely long lines at my polling place never equaled at other elections.

The two Democrats I know best, my father and my wife, are not Hillary supporters at all. My father is Trump and my wife is Bernie. People like that will play a role next fall.

They have both voted for Republicans in the past for president.

I think it’s a “cohort” thing.

Those in my cohort will all be voting — against Hillary. Whatever that means.

Your mileage may vary.

And there will be strongly D cohorts that will experience less enthusiasm to vote for Hillary than they had in 2008 and 2012 to vote for the halfrican.

Personally, I think that the momentum and enthusiasm shift from D (less enthusiasm) to R (more enthusiasm) will be a huge outcome driver in 2016.

Just my 2c.

Yes. Of course Hillary faces the same lack of enthusiasm.

I love what Trump sez. I wouldn’t want him to be president. I’ve felt that way pretty much since day 1.

I will not vote for Trump if he’s the nominee. However, I believe in the end people will not allow the media to choose our candidate again and will vote for Cruz.

People who don’t like TRUMP, or won’t for him... lead their lives with ‘horse blinders’ on. Period!

He’s like the ‘crazy uncle’ at Thanksgiving dinner. Nobody has anything good to say about him, but secretly they agree with him on most things.

In 9 months time a lot can, and will happen before the elections. Closer in, a lot can happen before/ during the GOP Convention in July.

I predict a wild ride.

Trump is doing very well in the polls.

He is doing better with independents and Democrats than any poll will ever show.

He is also doing better with the black vote than the media wants to let out. Trump is destined to be the next President.

Low voter turnout will be Hillary’s epitaph. The reason Trump is resonating with so many is that he’s not the same old Washington politician type. It’s that simple.

I have talked about this a lot. He is like the GOP version of bambi, trying to intimidate the press and all else who dare to oppose him. When he mocked the disabled journalist and lied about, then watches all these threads defending him, saying not true my disgust overtook me. That was his start with me. Then I started looking at his multiple positions, back and forth multiple times on issues.
When trashed Scalia that is the final straw with me.
You read it in voter comments about his rallies on line. I remember one lady for him but “hopes he tones it down”.
I am not sure he will make it through the primaries.
He lost me. There is no need to have Alinsky as president.
And sorry but probably 90% of freepers have more knowledge of government, policy and foreign affairs than he does.

I’ve always been for Cruz but I thought Trump was fun and I would vote for him if it came down to it.

The the birther **** irritated me, then Reno happened yesterday and now it’s absolutely no to Trump.

I will sit home or write in a candidate if it’s Trump/Hillary.

If it’s Republicans who don’t vote, then yes, it will help the Democrats. And yes, this is a real problem.

Ask Mitt Romney.

If all the people who said in January 1980 that the would never vote for Ronald Reagan carried throough in November, he would have been crushed.

But that’s not what happened.

The polls don’t matter. The campaign matters.

And, after Labor Day, I believe you will see a masterful campaign. AND, Trump is not losing 32-62 as Reagan was at this point.

One caution: I do not believe Hillary will be the nominee. It’s important not to sell Trump as the alternative to Hillary too soon - because that can be answered by nominating someone else.

But then, that’s covered by the Art of the Deal.
