I lived there during the Kreig/Largent years. Don't forget Zorn! I lived just north of Seattle when the Kingdome was built (got to watch the Mariners inaugural game there against the Angels) and watched the Seahawks. Was not always a fan but have loved them for a long time now and got my family hooked.

I knew I was living in cloud-cuckoo land when Jimmy Johnson and the other âexpertsâ picked the Redskins to beat the Packers. The NFC East couldnât whip a college team this year and DC could have finished at the bottom of that division as easily as not. They had no business being in the playoffs. The Redskins & the Texans had no business being in the playoffs, which is why I think playoff spots should be based on the best records and not just divisional records. They should at least have a minimum win number of say 10 wins to qualify for the playoffs. It's getting almost as bad as college bowl games where you have 6-6 teams playing in bowl games.

odd wildcard weekend each favored team lostJust the opposite. All the underdogs lost. They just all happened to be the home teams.

Just the opposite. All the underdogs lost. They just all happened to be the home teams. That's the way it is today in the NFL, a lot changes over a course of the year, and the teams with the best records aren't necessarily the best teams when the playoffs start, due to injuries. I pretty much thought this past weekend would go the way it did. And I think there's a good chance that 2 or even 3 road teams can win this weekend's game.

While I know it is counted as a loss, the Seahawks did not beat the Vikings.
The Vikings beat themselves.
The Seahawks are just the undeserving recipients of the credit.

Seahawks got a TD, the Vikings didn’t. That was the difference. Hard to win when you don’t score at least one TD.

Whooping or whopping?
Whooping sounds like they are making a little “redskin” puns.

Should have been called “Gift Weekend.”
The Redskins and the Texans were a gift to whoever drew them in the first round, and the Steelers and Seahawks were losers who were gifted wins. End result the NFL got the winners they wanted.
The real playoffs begin this weekend.

RGIII would be far better choice than the NFL’s ‘Affluenza Kid’.

+1 to everything you just said.
That first season of his, with the 'skins running those stupid ridiculous triple-option running plays, in the NFL. No way that's going to work without getting a QB maimed.
Whatever potential the guy had was badly damaged then.
Who knows, he might play as a backup here and there for the next few years, or maybe not. Seems to me that those guys have all got to accept that at a point there's a thing called life after football.
I'm glad he signed for big bucks and has now been in the league long enough to get the NFL pension money.
Have a long happy life RG, whatever you do.

It looked good early for the Redskins, but eventually Aaron Rodgers became Aaron Rodgers again.
That is because I was kicking his rear [through the TV] by the 3rd Q and telling him, 'Aaron! Get it together! You are better than that.'

That just gives the Seahawks that much more to prove in Carolina.

Not even close to the worst ever. He did take them to the playoffs once.
And then there’s Ryan Lief....
