Trump’s formula is simple. Take popular positions that majorities in the United States support, but which have been defined as ‘off the table’ by political correctness and the media cartel.

Immigration - Supermajorites of U.S. citizens have wanted to stop illegal immigration for decades, but the elite oppose it.

Second Amendment - Super majorities have supported it for at least 20 years. Trump puts forward policies to actually defend it instead of just giving it lip service while undercutting it.

Islamic Jihadis - Super majorities support actively fighting the islamic jihadis. It has become potitically incorrect to even name them.

Patriotism - Trump supports a robust patriotism. It is politically incorrect to mention American greatness and accomplishments. A supermajority of Americans rejoice in American exceptionalism.

Political Correctness - A supermajority of Americans are sick of being harried and condemned by self-apointed censors and social justice warriors. Trump resonates with the majority by fighting back, not accepting their premises, and making them look like the fools they are.

You leave off the most important thing. Competence - most people recognize that every single agency of our government is incompetent because it is run by political hacks and civil servants chosen for their compliance and complacency. Bush / Cheney were just as bad as Obama in this regard - I hope I am not breaking startling news to creepers here.

Just having competent people running our agencies would make such a difference - the taxpayers actually getting something that they paid for rather than regulation and armies of bureaucrats spending all day at video conferences and emaiils and other worthless activities.

While I don’t trust the man as far as I could throw him, I agree completely with what youve said here.
