How is raising prices to Americas by 45% good for America?

Theoretically, it would inspire Americans to produce their own goods for cheaper, I suppose.

They cannot because of government labor, environmental, medical, and tax regulations; those make it impossible for Americans to produce their own goods profitably.

Trump's solution: more government.

Cruz is a Constitutionalist, so I know that his solution is going to tend toward the Constitution: less government.

I'll only vote for what I want to win. I want the concept of "more government" to lose.

No the question is not whether they(manufactured goods) can be made at a profit in the USA. Your supposition is specious. Everything we consume can be made it the USA for a profit, and was so up to about 1985. The question is whether we can keep the international cabal of stockholders happy at healthy profit using US labor as opposed to an obscene profit using suicidal coolie labor.
