I hate to bust your bubble, but Cruz is not eligible to be president, vice president, nor senator. His loyalties are divided between Cuba and Canada, having been born in Canada of a Cuban father and American mother who renounced her USA Citizenship so that she could vote in Canada. Cruz is a naturalized American citizen, but never will he be a Natural-Born American citizen, and therefore everyone who thinks they will be electing him president are going to be sorely disappointed when it comes time for America to vote for the best candidate. My bubble is not burst over that. I started out supporting Cruz and switched to trump when it became Cruz was not what he portrayed himself as. I've been solidly behind Trump (and donate to his campaign monthly -concurrent with my donations to FR) ever since. Whether he is eligible or not has no relevance to me at this time because he won't be President.
