The 54-year-old man had fatally shot his son's bedridden mother, girlfriend and friend, Lt. John Corina told the Los Angeles Times. The motive behind the initial shooting was being investigated.
The man's 33-year-old son, identified by the Times as Christopher Morey, then wrestled his father to the ground, took the gun, and shot him once, killing him, according to the Sheriff's Department.
The son called police after the incident, and was arrested for allegedly killing his father. He was held in lieu of $1,000,000 bail.
... Corina told the newspaper. "We're going to book him for what he did - he killed another human being. The district attorney will decide if it was justified."

The 54-year-old father was a heavy drinker with a large gun collection, and authorities had made dozens of previous trips to the home, the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department said.
Investigators were talking to surviving witnesses to figure out what led to the father pulling out a semi-automatic pistol and opening fire.
“It looks like it was a dispute between the dad and the son’s girlfriend, probably over using the washing machine,” Sheriff’s Lt. John Corina told the San Gabriel Valley Tribune. “For some reason, this set the dad off.”
My apologies.
Thanks!
