Norton Sucks.

DL Malwarebytes and install it (free version)... Run that through it and see.

If you get a lot, Kaspersky's AVPTool (RTFM) or EmsiSoft's EEK (both are cleanup engines) might find even more.

And if that's the case, ditch Norton and use Kaspersky's AntiVirus (not Internet Security), or Eset's Nod32 Anti-virus.

Another angle - I am told the latest KBs from MS have implemented the same PhoneHome stuff into 7 as is in Win10... I wonder if the bad behavior coincides with a particular Update session...

OMG! Dump Norton’s, fast! It is an outdate kluge! Just about anything is better than that nowadays.

First run in command prompt powercfg -lastwake. If it's Norton \Remediation\ AntimalwareMigration Task then that's the problem.

Norton users have this running in task scheduler every 30 minutes and it's set to wake-up the computer, it's used to check for Windows 10 migration and to immediately download the 10 version of it's antimalware so as to not leave the user exposed.

If you have no intention of upgrading to 10 you can remove it, read this forum post, there is a tool linked in the thread that will remove it.

Norton Security Suite Upgrade - New Remediation Task Wakes Computer

I had the wake-up ghost and the tool worked.
