Strange how you never see any news stories about all the homeless people, children going to bed hungry and Joe Average working two or three jobs to try and make ends meet when there’s a democrat in the White House.
Our poverty stats are inflated by 10-20 million illegal immigrants and their children, which also depress wages and increase the unemployment rate for natives.
Deporting them decreases the number of poor in this country, as well as helps everything from the crime rate to the graduation rate.
I am so screwed.
Poverty increases with increasing socialism or communism. That’s what has happened since 2008 - why do these statistics surprise this author?
Obama is now vacationing in Hawaii which has the worst homeless situation in the United States. Thousands of people are living on the streets on Oahu.
The Secret Service went through Kailua beach and cleared out hundreds of homeless so they would not be seen near Obama.
You’re so right. A lot of the numbers would jump if we didn’t have so many illegals.
It’s not the entire problem, of course. Obama is probably more to blame for many of the other problems as well. The economy would be shifting anyway, but he’s making it harder for ordinary people to move with it.

Socialism is expensive, and very bad for the economy.
A lot of those are valid, but there are a number of them that are either pointless or BS. The $2 a day one is particularly stupid, I can find $2 a day by eyeball laying on the ground, in cash. Given no particular effort, just when I happen upon it while working I’ve pulled in close to $1000 dollars in metals and cash in a year, and that’s not counting my hobby of metal detecting.
” poverty level” is meaningless if you’re going to pay people $29,999 a year to sit on their ass and subsequently define poverty as making less than $30,000 a year...( not the exact numbers, but representative of them).
Also, most of these statistics are either directly related to democrat policies, or a complete failure by both parties to enforce laws on the books against the banking/investment industries.
