His own words are he hasn’t sought God’s forgiveness. Those are odd words for someone who is a follower of Jesus Christ.
But I don’t consider those words dispositive. They seem like the off-the-cuff remarks of a man who says many things. I’d rather highlight these words as odd than as proof of anything concerning the state of trump’s soul. But they are odd, in context.
My own perspective is that trump’s attendance at church means little. Perhaps he’s a sincere believer. Perhaps not. I don’t presume to know.

Please re read my post. In my church we do not ask for forgiveness. Forgiveness is something we accept when we believe in Christ and that HE died for our sins. We cannot earn that forgiveness, nor can we do acts to obtain it. It was freely given by God when he sent his son to atone for OUR sins
Trumps church believes the same as mine. Are you judging me and him and many other Christians? How holy of you!
You need to read MORE than just what the MSM tells you Trump said.
Trump said that while he hasn't asked God for forgiveness, he does participate in Holy Communion.
"When I drink my little wine -- which is about the only wine I drink -- and have my little cracker, I guess that is a form of asking for forgiveness, and I do that as often as possible because I feel cleansed," he said. "I think in terms of 'let's go on and let's make it right.'"
