Do you think he’s jealous that her beard is bigger than his?
It looks to me like he shaves so as to almost match her under-chin beard.
I find it a little strange that she doesn't shave daily or have the beard permanently removed by electrolysis. I gather that beard electrolysis is not easy, but in her case it might be worthwhile.
