I will never understand this irrational fear of firearms. Two weeks ago I was in a motel room when I was awakened at 0430 to the sounds of someone trying to force their way through the slider leading to the balcony. I could also see a light flashing around the edges of the curtain. My immediate reaction was to grab the Glock 23 that was lying next to me. I opened the curtain and placed the barrel against the window. Those two thugs immediately jumped off the balcony and ran like two scared rabbits. After a lifetime of military and LE service, this was a natural response I didn't even have to think about. Yet there are beta male metrosexuals who would pull the covers over their head or lie there trembling and hoping for the best or they would just soil themselves. I just can't imagine living a life of fear, as they do. I refuse to be a victim and I take sole responsibility for my own safety. That's one of the things that separates the men from the boys.
