I agree. The story does not add up. Why would a SS agent leave his gun and badge in the car? Wasn’t the car locked? Was he blackmailed to hand over those items?

What kind of dolts are they hiring for SS? DH worked for a missile defense contractor for 30 years. If his laptop or work briefcase were in the car, we couldn’t even stop to eat or shop for five minutes. It was prohibited to have them out of his possession for any reason. And this guy leaves everything in his car? Either the story isn’t true or the quality of personnel is abysmal.
