One person has been killed and at least 30 have been injured on the Las Vegas Strip after a female driver intentionally plowed into pedestrians on the sidewalk.
Lakeisha N. Holloway, 24, of Portland, has been identified as the driver, who had a toddler in the back seat when she allegedly hit pedestrians on two different sections of the sidewalk while heading north on Las Vegas Boulevard near Bellagio Way.
She is accused of murder, child abuse or neglect and failure to remain at the scene of an accident, jail records show, and is being held without bail at Clark County Jail.

I was thinking Pavement Takedown Mark.
I seriously doubt that. It has to be a clerical error or misinformation. State law requires higher bail than that for DUIs with death or substantial bodily harm. All the evidence from the beginning showed that she was intentional in her actions, thus moving the crime into a more serious category.
Chance are very good she will plead diminished mental capacity, for some reason.
Possibly manic depression, for example.
Nevada has a solid death penalty, using lethal injection.

I heard she was yellin’ Allah Acbar as she hit people. The police have been ordered to surpress that by the DOJ and Prez Obama. The truth will come out—Nevada Justice is swift and hard. My bet—this lady will not live to see her next birthday.
Re: the New Year’s Eve comment.
Probably the LV Convention Bureau, Chamber of Commerce and the city’s hotel PR people trying to preempt cancellations. Understandable for the hoteliers, but it’s not the purview of the police. They have no business inserting this complete non sequitur. If the statement was, in fact, made at the behest of commercial interests, it raises the question..What other requests from special interest groups would the police comply with in order to keep the money flowing and keep up appearances?
Just askinâ
Did you mean “jus’ aksin?
This woman just hates her life and wanted lots of othes to pay the price.
Nope...that later you mention is the Ebonics way of askin’, as in axing.
Mine is the North Central Texan redneck flavor.
I’m guessing the forehead has speed bumps. However, she doesn’t look skinny enough to be using speed. Maybe just a bad case of acne.
I agree, she picked the wrong town to pull that crap. She will be in the Vegas system for a long time.
My thought was the look of a lost soul. Lost, confused and an easy target for evil to take hold in her thought.
Notice the callous on the forehead? Only one way I know of that causes that
Her “acne” may indicate meth use. Saw it before.
Here’s the full story:
An El Paso hellhole, I couldn’t get much higher
White lightning moonshine, tastes like fire
I drank for free till I couldn’t see
I fell on the floor, what I said is
I’m blind in Texas, the lone star is hot tonight
I’m blind in Texas, the cowboys have taken my eyes
I drank Dallas whiskey and lost my mind
Had high-balls in Houston, three for a dime
Everything starts to spin, loaded on gin
I fell out the door, what I said is
I’m blind in Texas, the lone star is hot tonight
I’m blind in Texas, the cowboys have taken my eyes
San Antonio and the West Texas town El Paso
Corpus Christi and Waco, the Yellow Rose is wild
Hey dude, let’s party
Raisin hell in Austin just after sundown
When the hoose-gow police decided to come round- they said
“Boy what’s the matter with you, what you trying to do?”
I looked at the man and I said
I’m blind in Texas, the lone star is hot tonight
I’m blind in Texas, I’m blind

Callous from praying
Only one?
Guarantee they will say she was “bipolar” and off her meds, or suffering “post partum depression”. Bet on it.
Interestingly enough, she wanted to change her name to “paris paradise morton”, all names popular in Vegas?
Patis Hotel, Paradise Rd runs behind the Paris Casino, and Morton’s world famous steakhouse is just about at the corner of Flamingo and Paradise rd, just down the street from the Paris Hotel and Casino.
Strange!
