“There is an excellent book called “1421” the year the Chinese discovered America.”

The book is in doubt, but the concept is not unreasonable. DNA evidence seems to indicate a Polynesian community in South America. There have also been hints of Beaker Culture copper trade, Basque, Phoenician, Carthaginian, Israeli, Celtic, Greek, Roman, Chinese, ....

I think what sealed the deal for me was the ancient style anchors found in the Bermudas. They were too Chinese to pawn off as “convergent” discoveries.
