White Dutch Youth Riot Against Arrival of Refugees:
Some people blamed far-right politician Geert Wilders, who has openly called for banishing Dutch Moroccan immigrants from the country, for instigating the violence. Wilders has also encouraged his following to reject the construction of the refugee shelter in the small Dutch town.
If I’m reading the story right, my take away is “the people who rioted and made noise protected their community. Other communities didn’t complain. We’re moving the migrants there.”
Shouldn’t THAT message reverberate throughout the West? You’d better get loud and rowdy or you’re going to get stuck with the problem. Seems like an irresponsible recipe for trouble by representative government. Of course I’m not Europe really has that anyway ... so perhaps its just the slippery slope to institutional collapse.
Not all Europeans are willing to commit suicide just because their leaders tell them it’s the humane thing to do. Too many are though unfortunately.
