Except when it comes to one of Obama’s favorites, the Corker bill.
Sessions had a hand in defeating the Gang of Eight bill, if not the major hand.
If the Corker bill had not happened, Obama was going to do the Iran deal totally without Congress. Since the Corker bill, Congress has withheld it’s approval, so the next President can totally nullify the deal. Trump has said he would not tear up the deal, but Cruz has vowed to do so on the first day in office.
The Corker bill passed with 97 of 100 votes.
Killing that bill would’ve been a heavy lift even for master negotiator Trump, right?
