When you are being burglarized/assaulted/attacked, you are the only one there to protect you, your family, and/or your property. When seconds count, LEO’s are minutes or hours away. This is not an insult or slight aimed at law enforcement, just a basic fact. These leftist morons act like being self-sufficient is a crime, not the virtue it is these days.
Even in the days before The Castle Doctrine in Texas was made into law, the former sheriff in the county where I live fully understood residents had to protect themselves. He said in private conversations if anyone ever had to shoot and kill someone, make sure they “fell” into your house.
(Wink,wink.) They could then call the sheriff’s department.
I guess things are different if you are part of the ‘elite’ class that has on-site, 24-hour security. This is why those brain-damaged, dim-bulbs in DC cannot grasp the concept of an armed citizen protecting his/her own. Typical under this regime.
We buy guns because of our fear of politicians trashing the Constitution.
Why can’t they understand that?

my boss is a leftist, and knows that I am not, we dont really get into deep discussions about the world, as it is a work environment.
