I have a question for you on the primaries. Several states have open primaries.
Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Georgia, Massachusetts (All races’ primaries open for “unenrolled”/unaffiliated voters only), Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, North Dakota, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, & Wisconsin.
If I understand correctly, McCain did not win any of the Republican primaries against Romney but did win in the states with open primaries which gave him the nomination.

If that is the case, might not Trump win large majorities, large enough to easily win, in the states with open primaries? Does this make sense?

It does make sense. I think Trump will do very well in both open and closed primaries. I just don’t see anyone who can beat him.
