(f) Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by President
Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.

Yes. The influx of Muslim immigrants would be stopped. However, if we create new powers for government to target those with legal citizen status then we will suffer the same fate at the whims of a future administration.
Freedom is a fragile vessel that we must protect at all costs. We must not forget this lest we cheer the policy today and suffer the policy tomorrow.

From what I know, (not very much), Islam really isn’t a religion in the sense our Constitution intends. It is a theocracy, a system of government, of which religion plays a relatively small part.
So, I don’t understand why our political leaders and the media keep referring to it as a “faith”, when there are court systems and laws that conflict with our own.
It is a real puzzle to me.
