The hospital prolly wants his organs. I can say this due to personal experience. Thank god my mother was a doctor which likely prevented the hospital from rushing to take me off life support. They told my mom there were patients who needed my organs!

Isn’t one of the selling points of the Affordable Crappy Health Care Insurance Act the fact that even with a pre existing condition you can get health care insurance?

That’s why I refuse to sign nor do I want my organs donated without my ability to rationally consent. Human nature is evil and I do have a good liver, lungs, kidneys ect....You spend just a week on a vent and they start the pressure on family members to pull the plug, agree to donate the organs ect.

This man in this condition would not be organ donatable unless his eyes are in good shape. The lungs are damaged, he is probably clinically septic, his kidneys probably are in mild if not moderate failure, his liver might be functional but as the pancreatic ducts go so go the liver ducts and liver itself. I have a question whether or not the tumor is nonmalignant but there doesn’t seem to have been a biopsy done...so who knows!
