I've noticed this. I think it is the self-consciousness induced by the thought that there could be homos watching. One of the side-effects is that lots of kids come to train for team sports at my gym, but don't shower after practice at the gym--or, going by the atmospheric evidence, at any time. They reek. You can tell when they've been in the elevator. This will not be good for public health. When I was in school, any kid who tried to skip the shower after practice would be thrown in with his clothes on.

That's okay, there is a new motivation that solves this problem. These men can shower with the women and not be refused access to check out their neighbors.

This column reminded me of the California court case in which a screwed up (”trans-gendered”) boy wanted to use the girls locker room. The school elected to let him do so but put in privacy curtains for the girls. He sued to force them to take the curtains out. No resolution yet. But if it were my kid sister in the locker room being forced to undress in front of him I would find him and issue extensive corrective therapy to him.
