The Amazon fire stick with voice control doesn’t work and has become a paper weight.

I bought some extra sticks just in case. They are cheap and the voice search works pretty good, considering I have a hard time making myself understood even on the telephone.

BOL! I bought some extra sticks just in case. They are cheap and the voice search works pretty good, considering I have a hard time making myself understood even on the telephone.

I have a SW/Southern accent at times, and I don't have a problem on the phone or with my Android tablet/phone or Chromebook using the Google voice app.. However, about 30% of the time with our new Xfinity box and smart tv, I'm not understood.

My wife grew up in the Midwest and has zero accent, and some of her distant midwest cousins ended up on tv news as readers due to their lack of accent. One of her patients tried to get her to record commands/options for one of his voice systems, and she turned him down at that time. So, she has zero problems with our tv voice commands with the exception of the new show Limitless. So, we have decided to record it on our DVR and just run the episodes from our DVR.
