For the great part, my personal library includes non-fiction reference type, heavily dog-eared books relating to Islam - not the kind of book one recommends for leisurely enjoyment, but by far the majority of books populating my bookshelves.
The few fictional books I managed to complete, enjoy and chose to re-read multiple times include:
Herman Wouk's "Winds of War", "War and Rememberance", "Inside, Outside", "The Law Giver"
Ian Toll's "Six Frigates" (5 star!)
Frank Herbert's "Dune" (took a very long time and great effort to get started, but well worth it)
I'm particularly fond of a recently discovered series :
Diana Gabaldon's "Outlander" series. I've read all eight full novels in the last 5 months, re-listen to each novel on audible while performing mundane tasks or run errands and have watched the first season of the cable series on Starz while recovering from illness (which introduced me to the books).
