That remains to be seen. Granted MSU controlled both lines of scrimmage and Dantonio out coached Myer. Not a Good show for Thee Bucks. However they can redeem themselves with a victory over a 10th ranked Michigan. They ain't out of it yet as last year showed us. :)

He was a great QB and even greater coach but he always struck me as having a little bit of the “If I don’t get my way I am going to take my football and go home”, attitude.

My wife and I are OU grads from 1974. We were both EE. :) She was Elementary Education and I was Electrical Engineering.

Unfortunately, my brother-in-law is a Notre Dame fan. He and my sister are coming for Thanksgiving. He might not be so happy for the good fortunes of OU. :(

Oh, I know!! One of my OSU alumnae friends was giving it the what for to me the other day, about OU playing AT OSU.

I just said um huh and we went on talking, when I was able to circle back around to that remark, I was saying how fun it was to beat Baylor, but to come into their house and that fabulous gazillion dollar stadium, which can be intimidating, and eat their lunch, AT home, was the VERY BEST part of the win. (Tee hee.)

Certainly tried to point out that OU does not fear OSU at their home field. Their fans are rough, and just no one cares, but them. LOL!

My second favorite team is Notre Dame! Oh, wow! Happy Thanksgiving to you guys! I need to check the schedule again and remember when ND plays. But, see you at the main game @ 7:PM Saturday night.

We probably won’t watch the game in real time. Since we acquired a DVR, my wife is content to watch after she is assured of the final score. Otherwise, the tension is too much for her.

We have been on vacation at our Payson cabin since Thursday. The only reason she watched any of the OU/TCU game was that we could only see it on ESPN live feed. We will watch again once we get home on Thursday. We have the Notre Dame game recorded, as well.

When Iowa went to the Pittsburgh Steelers uniforms way back in the late 70’s (I think they didn’t go to the black helmet until 80), I thought that it might have a positive mental impact. And low and behold, Fry said, about that time, that they need to look like winners.

They were the first college team I’d ever seen do that (but had seen several high school teams do it).

Up until then, I was indifferent about Iowa. It just depended on who they were playing. My dad was a Penn State fan (his home state), so I kinda leaned towards them way back in the 60s and 70s. Living in IL just never was enough to make me an Illini fan (and I have a son that won two state titles on their field).

But when Iowa decided to look like the hated Steelers (Packer fan, back in those days), I could no longer back them at all.

by the mid 80’s I lost nearly all interest in college and pro football (not burnout, just too many other interests).

Then recently one of my sons married into a family with deep Crimson Tide roots (football and gymnastics alums). They are wonderful people, and have converted me (well, as much as I can be converted. I still have other interests that rank above football.)

For your sake, I hope Iowa keeps winning, and hopefully faces Alabama for the national title.

I get that! The tension is incredible. I was miserable in the second half of that TCU game. Enjoy your vacation!
