Studies suggest consensus among scientists is as high as 97 percent.
In the face of warmer air and ocean temperatures, rising sea levels, stronger storms and an increased risk of drought, fire and flood, scientists agree -- quite overwhelmingly -- that climate change is very real.
In fact, studies suggest that 97 percent or more of actively publishing climate scientists believe climate-warming trends over the past century are very likely due to human activities.
Yet it's not hard to find yourself in a spirited back-and-forth with the so-called "deniers" -- those who continue to reject mainstream climate science.

If climate change is due to human activities then the sun is not involved?
What are the methods for measuring the temperature of the planet? Is that surface temp, 50 feet up temp, how does the temperature of the deeper water get factored into that reading?
How do you verify the accuracy and precision of those readings?
Is the earth getting warmer or cooler?
What is the ideal temperature for the earth? How did you arrive at that number?
Has the climate changed in the past? When did it stop, before it started changing again?

I guess they leave out the part in the Climategate email scandal where publishing of studies that showed that anthropogenic Global warming was wrong, were actively suppressed.
The whole article is so full of lies and falsehoods, that just fisking it would be a good primer on the false premises of the warmist alarmists.
I did get this in a debate with a globull warmist. Word for word they quoted the 97% figure to me. This is what I said.
“I agree with you 100% that 97% of scientists say climate change is real. And since you are more intelligent than I am and know so much more about climate change than I do, please answer these 3 questions for me. And the only reason I am asking is because I don’t know and you should since you are quoting scientific fact. 1) How do these 97% of scientists plan on fixing the climate? 2) How much money did these 97% of scientists say it would cost to fix? 3) What is the risk mitigation plan the 97% of scientists gave in case they are wrong and send the earth into a global cooling death spiral?”
It was at this point that my liberal friend started ranting about how I get my information from Fox News. They truly are clueless.
