Nothing on earth like pecan pie. I’m from Yankee stock, born and raised in the frozen north (except for a couple forays into the south when my dad was stationed down there), so pecan pie is seldom mentioned except in a curse. But when the cherry pie isn’t looking I duck behind the wood pile and enjoy what passes for pecan pie up here.
