I’m probably going to get reamed here but when I had my kids I preferred being alone to get my schedule(?)going.
I was glad when he left for work and wouldn’t have wanted him around for 2 months.

When my twins were born, my parents gave me a nanny for a few months. I had a 2 year old also. She was much better than my parents or husband. She did what I wanted. I may do that for my kids when they have their own kids.

Fully agree. I also didn't need him in the delivery room trying to feed me ice chips. I was glad he was there, present, etc. don't get me wrong. I wouldn't want to be one of those people where the father missed the delivery because he was at his weekly bro squad poker game.
On the needy scale I am about a two.
