I think Fox sacked Bob over the summer. No reason given.

“We tried to work with Bob for months, but we couldn’t hold ‘The Five’ hostage to one man’s personal issues,” Bill Shine, Fox’s executive vice president of programming, said in a June statement announcing Beckel’s departure. “He took tremendous advantage of our generosity, empathy and goodwill and we simply came to the end of the road with him.”
In a Twitter posted, Beckel said he was “baffled” about being released.

PS - I think only you guys will appreciate this bit of “Bob Beckel Trivia”. In 2008, I worked as a TV Tech Director for the DNC here in Denver. Everyone, regardless of status, had to go through the same security check-points. It was always a jam of us press geeks at the start of any day. One afternoon, after lunch, I had to re-enter, and spotted Bob Beckel a few feet ahead. I had an instant idea, and thought “hell yes!” That is, I’m only 5’6” and he was 6’2 or something - and obviously ‘offensive line’ sized. I saw an opportunity and crushed right in behind those suspenders and ‘drafted’ him, right up to the metal detector in no time flat! However, being that it was also a hot summer day, Bob sweated on me.
That’s right, I got ‘sweated on’ by Bob Beckel.
That’s what I got for being a FReeper and exploiting his size to bully through a mob line.
