The police could do nothing?
WTF? How about kicking in your own door and cutting down the scum invading your home?
I do not see a peaceful end to such a home invasion.
It can be a real nightmare to get squatters out of your home once they have set up residence. If they have a good lawyer it can cost you thousands of dollars to get them out and take months.
