I’ve used Atkins successfully in the past. However, I did end up with one problem - gout. Inflamed joints is not much of a benefit, so one does have to be careful. Another issue is bone density, especially for women. High protein diet makes your body acidic, & calcium must be used from somewhere to address the problem.

Now I’m trying a somewhat modified diet, but it doesn’t work as well. Sigh...
