That's the point I was making in my previous post on this thread. It was not necessary for America to listen in on his phone conversation with his daughter. If he would have spoken to her off camera, then reported "I just spoke with my daughter, who is in Paris this evening. She's badly frightened, but is safe", I would have no problem with that.
Geraldo could have had the conversation with his daughter off the air. There was no reason to dramatize the event by having a personal phone call with his daughter on the air.
But Geraldo, the ‘drama queen’, only knows one way to report the news fair and balanced.
