Isn't Maui sometimes referred to as the "Millionaire's Playground" of the State of Hawaii?
You know, I rarely see any fat, ugly women shopping in the high-priced stores of 5th Avenue in NY, crowded around the high-rollers at the roulette tables in Monaco, nor strolling along the sandy beaches of expensive tropical get-aways. It's as though only willowy catwalk models populate the pricey venues in life.
I wonder: Why is that? /s
Regards,
Of course there are tons of wealthy tourists here in Maui but I’m talking the regular denizens who kind of seem like Island hippies.
Maui needs those tourists. They are the main industry and the only other one is a sugar cane refinery.
In fact, my own family needs the tourists as they buy the Maui Woodys my son-in-law makes (native wood framed sunglasses)
