Maybe it isn’t necessary to mess with system restore.

This is from an Amazon review ...

Rollback Rx is best classified as an Instant System Restore (ISR) app. It has been described as “Windows System Restore on Steroids” as it disables and replaces Windows System Restore ..

Yeah, I think it disables it automatically=- but now that you have this- it should replace system restore and be much better- I

When you are startiogn your computer, if you hit the home button when rollback comes up, before windows loads, you can do a rollback from there as well- which is good for when a virus fubars windows and windows won’t start

I would suggest getting the pro version, but waiting till it goes on sale- only because you have unlimited restore points then

They claim rollback doesn’t affect system performance, and it only adds a short 10 seconds or so to start up

One thing I forgot to mention, if it does a bunch of uto snapshots (in the pro version) you will have to manually delete them (they are the ones that will say “Scheduled snapshots”) because after awhile they really eat up the harddrive space

Also, every month or so- run the ‘snapshot defragger’ because the snapshots need to be compressed and defragged- it will restore more hard-drive space when you run it (it does take a little time- like a 1/2 hour= depending on how large your drive is- mine is 1 1/2 terabyte- so it takes a long time- about 45 mins)

I usually do a degrag right after I’ve doen a rollback and changed any setting on my computer that I need to or do any updates like for windows, flash or whatever- after I do those, I do a snap shot, then open up the snapshots and delete select snapshots- older ones- and then do a degrag of the snapshots (the button for it is in left hand column)

If I think of anything else, I’ll post it here- but the program is pretty straight forward- you should have a tray icon over by the clock for it (at least the pro version puts one there) with some basic right click commands like rollback system, snapshot etc-
