Sorry to hear that. I hope Seattle hasn’t given up its traditions, although considering the leftward slide of the city in other respects, I imagine that it has.
Another tradition of Nordstrom’s that I always loved was the fact that employed a live piano player to tickle the ivories during peak shopping hours. I could leave my husband in the chairs by the piano and he was content to listen and talke to the artist while I shopped to my heart’s content.

The last Nordstrom Breakfast with Santa we took the kids to had an honest to goodness “little person” as Santa’s elf too! I think they had a piano player here too but again, not any longer.
