1. Trump’s policies online are more conservative than any one else’s. That’s good enough for me because he is saying the right things, has been for decades, and will stop the invasion. Without that, all other issues are moot. The country will be over.
2. Glenn has gone off the deep end. Long before now. But now he has a personal vendetta against Trump, it’s obvious. Maybe Trump’s strong stand to stop the invasion interferes with Beck taking Teddy Bears to the border. Glenn has backed amnesty, before he didn’t, before being a bleeding heart crybaby encouraging the invasion. He can’t decide it seems.
Well, perhaps on one or two issues, but overall, they're really not.
he is saying the right things, has been for decades
Again, on a few issues, but I like to look at a broad spectrum of issues. And no, Trump hasn't been saying "the right things" for decades. He's recently come around after flip-flopping on most issues for years. (I've posted the statements. You can read them.) He's changed his party registration FIVE TIMES!
he has a personal vendetta against Trump
No, he doesn't. It's an issues thing. Glenn believes, rightly or wrongly, that Trump is a progressive and progressives will bring down America. It's not personal in any way. It's issues and policy.
Glenn has backed amnesty
I'e never heard him do anything but beat up on amnesty and amnesty supporters.
However, I've also heard him say (again, you can agree with him or not) that as a decent, compassionate, Christian people, it's our duty to take the best care we can of people while they're in our custody and our care.
That's a very different thing from supporting amnesty. His position is essentially, send them home as soon as possible, but in the meantime care for them because they're our brothers and sisters -- and it's cheaper and more efficient if private charities and churches do it than if the government does.
Not Cruz's.
