“What “WAY” is that, since diabetes meds are a self-defeating downward spiral ?”

Nutritional Health Series, Part 2:
Dr David Perlmutter: Grain Brain, Eating Fat Makes You Smart, and Why (Brain) Size Matters

I watched it (
Reversing Type 2 diabetes starts with ignoring the guidelines | Sarah Hallberg | TEDxPurdueU), and, although I skeptical, it makes a good amount of sense.
Now I'm cautious, because of my age and experience.
I've done the old (1980s) Dr. Adkin's Diet o the old USAF Diet before, and it works, and you feel great.
But you take a large amount of vitamins with it, especially the first 2 weeks.
I'd like to know more about the "fat macro-nutrients" she spoke of, and I'd like to read those studies, with specific types of "fats" and the amount of "fats" consumed.
Thanks for the info in the first video.
Now the second video (
Dr David Perlmutter: Grain Brain, Eating Fat Makes You Smart, and Why (Brain) Size Matters) has some problems that makes it almost unwatchable.
First, it comes off like a used car salesman.
Knock off all the ads.
Second, add some slides of graphics or insert some animations of the work going on inside the cells, or inside the body.
Third, show some pictures of the foods you're talking about. Many years ago, people worked almost all day on the farm.
They ate foods they grew themselves (peas, beans, tomatoes, etc.) and we didn't have the obesity problem that we have today.
When you speak of "fats" most people first think of animal fat, and not vegetables.
Show the difference.
