I’ve got German and Hebrew in me.
I’m basically a mutt but the dominant genes are German on one side and French on the other. I am constantly conflicted by the desire to take over a continent and surrender to myself. I was also raised Catholic so I also get to feel guilt over it ;)

Never denigrate your heritage. You weren’t a Nazi. I’m part German too and for that I’m grateful for my work ethic.
Oh there’s parts of it I’m great with. Work ethic. Engineering/craftsmanship, lack of cowardice, deterination. Sense of purpose.. and I’m far from self loathing. But it is the elephant in the room and it’s not going away. Might as well acknowledge it and go from there.

Breitbart London reported on two such examples in July where Spanish authorities insulted the memories of right-wing figures by renaming their squares after LGBT-lobby campaigners.
Plaza Margaret Thatcher was one such square, with her memorial to be torn down and the place renamed for Pedro Zerolo, a left-wing gay anarchist who died this year. Following that, it was reported the square dedicated to noted Catholic scholar Juan Vázquez de Mella would also be renamed after a gay rights campaigner.

Yes, by all means erase the memory of one of Germany’s cultural icons, and replace it with some Third World riffraff instead.
That was about the age where, I, on a whim, listened to a scratchy old record of Wagner overtures. That was nearly three decades ago, and I've been obsessed with his music ever since.
Anyway, it's good to know that there are still 15 year olds around that listen to something other than hip-hop or bubble gum pop.

And supposedly this is the same Merkel who declared multiculturalism a failure only a year to two ago. What has changed her mind, I'd like to know? The German press and the German opposition have not bothered to ask her this question.
