Clippard and Reed are the team's weakest links.
It's a great team, but having good setup men is important.
Mets are by no means a “great team” and i’m one of their biggest fans on Freep...they have potentially dominant pitching, a terrific closer and when they hit they can be awesome- but:
1) they are a mediocre defensive team
2) they are a terrible base stealing team
3) they are very streaky at the plate and all too often leave to many men in scoring position...
you are also dead wrong about Reed- he has a 1.17 ERA with the Mets and has given up a single hit in five innings pitched in the WS and NLCS..(2 hits/1 run in the NLDS).

In his last two appearances, Reed retired all six(?) batters that he faced but he wasn't fooling anybody. The outs were loud. As I said several hours ago I didn't think Reed was reliable at this point in time.
