Really dishearting knowing the last three games the Mets had the lead in the 8th inning and blew the games. First their closer fell completely apart in the series, and their relief pitching was nonexistence in the late innings. Add that to Daniel Murphy going from the hero of NY to the goat of NY in a week’s time and you know how the Royals won. Even with not getting much hitting, their pitching lost is for them. I think Royals were not to be denied and those young players wanted it more. I also think this is Murphy’s last game and the old coach who had never made it to the World Series just might be fired.

The Mets are going to need some changes to go along with their quality starting pitching. Sorry to say, Wright is fading, Cespedes is not the answer, and I think Collins just coached his last game in NY. They need to trade a couple players for some “contact hitters.”
