I love dogs but find cats fascinating.
Ditto that. Cats are endlessly interesting to watch. But as for observing dogs, after a while it gets boring.
The flip side is that a good dog will watch over you, even if you don't watch over it. The average cat is, well, a bit more mercenary in that regard.
Dogs will always pay attention to you, no matter what. Cats, on the other hand ignore you most of the time. If a cat pays attention to you, that cat genuinely cares about you and loves you unconditionally. Either that or you’re holding a tuna fish sandwich.
