“Sang-froid”, translated more literally from the French, would be “cold blooded”.

If you moved the couch into the right space, you’d create a sang-Freud environment next time a choir director needed counseling ....

There’s always something to worry about no matter what. Prayers for a safe trip and luck for their new venture. What kind of biz?

Like I was saying earlier. Wilkinsburg middle and high school will be no more. They’ll be paying Pittsburgh for the students to attend there.

They will be settling an hour away in my hometown. That will feel too far once the grandbabies come!

When I got home from work, I turned on the TV to see what is going on in the world, and saw that the debate last night was more a debacle-especially for the moderators-and Jeb appears to have looked like a spoiled kid again...

It seems that in the debate
The objective was to ask
Such ridiculous questions
Candidates took mods to task

All the sang-froid was in
The hands of those running
And the moderators’ bias was
Nothing less than stunning

The candidates and audience
Called them out on the mess-
But if that causes changes
Will just be anyone’s guess...

Glad to hear your kiddo will be coming home-will they be living in the same town with you in future?

An hour is nothing! Count your blessings!! My sisterinlaw is still in Columbus with my niece and her husband and the first grandchild. Baby’s aunt and uncle arriving today to meet them and my bro driving over from PA, so it willbe the first time having them all together- very special for them. I don’t even want to think of my sisterinlaw when it’s time for her to go back to TX. They’ve not sold the house yet and my bro is commuting between PA and TX for now.

I think mine all feared that we might work them to death if they lived nearby. Instead, we visit them and they work us to death. LOL. Actually, that’s not true. We’ve just never had the kinds of jobs they needed around here.

I’ve always said that if any 2 of them would settle in the same state, we’d move there and retire. So far, it hasn’t happened yet. I have my choice of VA, KS, NY, and SC. None is particularly appeaing. They are all so urban compared to where we are. Traffic, traffic everywhere, except SC. NY is sort of nice, but you’d have to be nuts to move there on purpose (sorry about that) because of the taxes. Although my kids say that it is better than NJ where they lived before.

John is desperate.

His campaign is touting his performance. I swear he's in a bubble surrounded by sycophants.

I don’t blame them. I don’t know what area of CA that they lived in, but it is awful, compared to how it was when I was growing up. I’m a 3rd generation Californian (we have big generations in my family with my mom living to 101 and the parents before her and my dad being born and growing to maturity in the late 1800s.) But CA started deteriorating in the 1960s, and we fled in the 1970s. The halcyon days have been long over.
