I have all the respect in the world for Ben Carson. For only the second time in American politics, we would have a president who made his name outside of politics prior to his election if he won. (The first, for trivia fans, is Herbert Hoover as an engineer). He is humble, virtuous, honest, reliable, committed. But there is no way on Earth that he could defeat Hillary Clinton or even stand up to her in a debate.
Hillary would have him for lunch.
Carson combines the limited knowledge of government and budgeting of Sarah Palin with the soft voice of John McCain. Just as Obama ran all over McCain in the debates, so would Hillary run over Carson. But a lot worse.
On top of that, the Hillary Clinton who arrogates to herself the credit for OKing the raid that killed bin Laden is going to make mincemeat of Carson for his statement that he would not have sent troops to Afghanistan to pursue the Taliban after 9-11. Instead, Carson said in the first debate, he would have sought to end our dependence on foreign oil.
Ending our dependence on foreign oil is key and we are just a few years away from achieving total energy independence (except for having to continue to rely on imports from Canada and Mexico). But it will have taken twenty years. It was no substitute for an invasion that knocked al Qaeda back on its heels, forced it into the mountains, and toppled the Taliban government in Afghanistan. Don’t confuse the current muddled situation in Afghanistan for the clear cut victory we scored in 2002. Right after 9/11, everybody thought that we would be hit again, probably within a few weeks. It didn’t happen because Bush wasn’t Carson and sent in troops (while concluding a savvy coalition with the Northern Alliance in Afghanistan).
Carson’s reticence to use troops even after 9-11, makes one wonder when he would send in troops. Is he another Rand Paul who won’t act to protect us because he fears foreign involvement? By all accounts, we should be frightened by Carson’s rise in the polls.
While many don’t like Donald Trump, nobody doubts that he would be a strong opponent to Hillary in a campaign and in debates or that he would be a strong leader as president. He brings in new voters that otherwise wouldn’t have voted, just as Perot did.
But don’t go for Carson!
Still lying relentlessly about Carson I see. Curious why are you so desperate to slander Carson like this?

Yeah cause as pissed as the average Americans are at DC these days, having been in DC for the last 25 years is going to be a MAJOR plus for Hillary. /s
Morris is right on the money here.. run out and ask anybody first of all who Carson is.. then ask what are the important campaign issues he stands firm on to make the country prosper again
99% of the people would have no clue.. and going against Hillary?.. she is going to slam him from up one side down the other with lies and slander... Since Sleepy Silent Ben doesn’t respond to negativism we once again get slaughtered by somebody who has no idea how to hit back twice as hard as he gets.. when you show no strength to defend yourself or your positions you are looked at as weak and ineffective and on the wrong side of the issues.. a disaster
Ok, forget Morris. I’m no fan of Morris. I’ll just say it on my own: I believe that Hillary would crush Carson in a general election contest.
Carson has said he would replace Medicare and Medicaid, as well as most other health insurance, with at $2000 per person, per year deposit into an HSA one third of which would have to be used for a health insurance premium. What senior is going to be able to buy coverage comparable to what Medicare offers for $2000 a year? And we're talking about what Carson will propose, not what Congress will do. And what Carson is proposing is a ten or fifteen percent flat tax, maybe more, without deductions. That will represent a tax increase for well over half the people in the country.
Dick Morris is always wrong. If Carson had Palin’s understanding of budgets and how govt works, plus a soft calm demeanor, he would destroy Hillary Clinton. Sarah Palin quite a remarkable human being, very smart and well informed. This is nonsense!
How is quoting the man lying about him?
What Hillary Clinton would do is tell the country to look at Obama and look at Carson. Then ask if the country wants four more years of this.
And the media would talk about Hillary’s courage that she just asked the country if they could support four more years of men running the country.

Again, how is quoting what Carson says lying about him? The man stands convicted by his own words and demonstrates every day just how ill prepared he is for the highest office in this country. Your emperor has no clothes, and you are lashing out at those who point it out to you.
In a debate, if her opponent came right out and called her a LIAR to her face, she would implode!!! Of the current GOP crop, IMHO Trump is the only one who has the 'brass' to do it.
