I just can’t imagine Japan taking a bunch of Syrians or Libyans. The idea on the face of it is absolutely ridiculous. They would be so out of place in Japan it would be a sad joke. They would absolutely never fit it, become an immediate underclass, and be a source of constant agitation.
For its problems, their cultural unity is why Japan, as a nation and culture, will be around long after the United States is gone.

Some years ago Japan let many Iranians, Syrians, etc. into Japan on work visas. Some worked well and were not a problem but so many more showed their incivility through theft and debauchery. That was enough for Japan to learn what kind of 4th and 5th worlders these people are.
