Teachers’s union? Hah. They take $1200 from your paycheck every year. Good luck in getting them to return a call from the voicemail you get every single time you call the union office. They’re too busy off cozying up to the Dept. of Education under the table. So the poor teacher saps get to subsidize the union slime’s livin’ large on their dime, with very little to see for the money. You leave a voicemail, good luck in them even returning your call. To really get someone, you have to drive over to their office building and camp out there until you get to see someone. Great return for all that money, right?
If they really are that bad you need to run for union office to get rid of the bums.
read your local contract, your local bylaws or constitution, your national constitution, and roberts rules of order. then show up to the union meetings with your coworkers and stand together for justice and against complacency. if they deny you you contractual rights appeal to the membership. if that doesn’t work appeal all the way up. They don’t like to do paperwork or to stand up against opposition.
They hate to work, make them realize there will be less work to do the right thing.
Force them to have a conscience!
