GO METS!
Go to the toilet, Mets! The Cubs are overdue to take revenge for 1969.
Go Cubbies!
Fear De Hair....Go Mets!
;)
Remember...”Back to the Future II” .. Fate is on the side of the Cubs.
The opposite of “Murphy’s Law tonight”
Too bad they couldn’t both lose.
Back to the future II predicted the Chicago Cubs will win the 2015 series.
Lets Go Mets-— Lets Go Mets—— I grew up rooting for the Mets. The WS win in 1969 that was something special.
“This was a nail biter.”
Hubby was keeping tabs for me, I watched the last three outs.
Ok, they are playing the Cubs, so as of right now, I officially say, here in public on Free Republic,
I LOVE YOU AGAIN METS....ALL IS FORGIVEN!!!!
“The WS win in 1969 that was something special.”
Yes, I will always be a Mets fan because of that. Also Cleon Jones.
MEET THE METS,
MEET THE METS,
Step right up and greet the Mets!
Bring your kiddies,
bring your wife;
Guaranteed to have the time of your life
because the Mets are really sockin’ the ball; knocking those home runs over the wall!
East side,
West side,
everybody’s coming down
to meet the M-E-T-S Mets of New York town!
Oh, the butcher and the baker and the people on the streets,
where did they go? To MEET THE METS!
Oh, they’re hollerin’ and cheerin’ and they’re jumpin’ in their seats,
where did they go? To MEET THE METS!
All the fans are true to the orange and blue,
so hurry up and come on down -
‘cause we’ve got ourselves a ball club,
The Mets of New York town!
Give ‘em a yell!
Give ‘em a hand!
And let ‘em know your rootin’ in the stand!
Come on and MEET THE METS,
MEET THE METS,
Step right up and greet the Mets!
Bring your kiddies,
bring your wife;
Guaranteed to have the time of your life
because the Mets are really sockin’ the ball; knocking those home runs over the wall!
East side,
West side,
everybody’s coming down
to meet the M-E-T-S Mets of New York town!
Of New York town!
Hardcore
That game nearly killed me.
I LOVE MY METS!!
On to Chicago!
Regards,
The only time I have ever heard that song was on Seinfeld.
Now about that goat....
My family came up with the Brooklyn Dodgers before my generation and, like many, went to the Mets in the early 60s.
Today is a good day.
I grew up listening to it.
In NYC you choose.
I lived in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens, but chose the Mets, hate the Yankees, and never have or will set foot in Yankee Stadium.
We would ride our bikes to Shea Stadium and climb trees to see the games over the outfield fence.
